Utility Installation Continues
The installation of utilities continues along Front Beach Road and South Thomas Drive. Specifically, electrical and telecommunication lines are being relocated underground and existing old water and sewer pipelines are being replaced. Retaining walls, also known as Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) walls, are being installed at Ponds A and B. Additional construction activity at the Ponds involves excavating and shaping the facilities which, when complete, will be a park for area residents and visitors.
Motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists are reminded that heavy equipment is being used throughout the construction zone and to use caution when traveling in the area.
