Character Areas / Streetscapes
The Streetscape will:
- Celebrate the festive resort atmosphere and the natural beach environment of Panama City Beach.
- Improve the pedestrian and transportation networks throughout the Front Beach Road Community Redevelopment District.
- Provide design elements such as decorative hardscape, landscape, lighting, site furnishings, crosswalks, intersection treatments and dedicated transit lanes within the existing right-of-way.
- Encourage property owners to participate in the beautification.
- Incorporate multi-modal stations to provide park-and-ride facilities and serve as transit hubs.

A Streetscape Manual Has Been Prepared that:
- Identifies the streetscape amenities.
- Provides technical information for developers and property owners.
- Allows for integration of streetscape elements into current construction.
- Acknowledges the festive resort atmosphere and the natural beach environment through the establishment of aesthetic options.
